The blog is named 'toxic ways'. Toxic from the word toxicity is the degree to which a substance is able to damage an exposed organism. Instead of Toxic waste, I put 'ways';A manner or method of doing. I combined the two and came up with a new meaning. The blog is all about funny things and other information.

Ni Mi Mi Mi Mi MI Michigo Shippeo?

It's everywhere, in local radio stations, in MYX, my classmate's ipod, my father's ringtone in his cellphone, TV shows and even in my head that plays over-and-over again. Everywhere I go, it seems that I have no escape in this chaotic kind of sound and it's killing me, a very morbid kind of music with a very malevolent lyrics, even tho the listeners can't understand it. It seems that there's a sublimal message that makes the listeners become more addictive in their songs. Do you have any Ideas what it is? Well, let's get this straight. It's all about KPOP. The most popular music here in the Philippines, a disease that corrupted the minds of young Filipinos.

What makes KPOP music so popular that many young Filipinos are addicted to this kind of music when in fact it is sang in korean. It's really obvious that they can't understand korean language, but still would kill for a 'Super Junior' poster, 2ne1's latest album and wondergirls' famous line- 'Nobody-nobody but you' that seems to be our new 'Pambansang Awit at sayaw'. When did it started? Well, let's go back to the origins of this KPOP era in the Philippines. Can you still remember the time when ABS-CBN released their new foreign 'teleseries' of Hanayori Dango, Korean version. KPOP fans would always say that 'you're not a Filipino if you don't know this 'TVseries', it's 'Boys over flowers'. To be honest I watched most of the episode of 'Boys over flowers, and I liked it(Because it's fun to watch). The TV series 'boys over flowers' is all about the famous group of young men, the "F4" fronted by the most "famous person"(DAW!) in the Philippines is Go Jun Pyo. OMFG! I thought Andal Ampatuan was the most famous. I was wrong then.

All four members of F4 in the show, are members from different famous boybands in Korea. During the 'Boys over flowers' era. KPOP was not yet so famous, til a group of Korean chiks called 'Wondergirls' that suddenly appears in our radio station and music channels in the Philippines with their song, 'Nobody but you' that marked the minds of Filipino people especially the young ones. The whole song was in korean language, except in the chorus part. It was the LSS of the year(2010) but Only the chorus part can be understand by most of the Filipinos. When the TVseries 'boys over flowers'ended it's last episode of the last season, KPOP invasion didn't stop there, it was just the beginning. Different boybands from Korea flooded our music scene and got top ranks in daily 'top ten' and 'Myx top 20' every week, it means that the Filipinos liked KPOP than OPM even tho they can't understand the language. And, it's not just the KPOP music that changed many of the Filipinos' taste for music but also hair and clothing style. Everywhere you go, you can see young men have their hairstyles copied from 'Boys over flowers' and the funny part is, they can't even notice that it's not suitable for their faces, except if you're tall, white and has a long nose.

Many are trying hard to be Korean, dressing up like the 'Super juniors'. The most pathetic part is, they love KPOP culture so much that they're now discriminating their country's original music. Which in fact is way more cooler than KPOP. For me, KPOP is just all about dancing, looking good and has no good voice when singing. It's really obvious when you hear them sing, they're not so talented in singing, well some has good talent in singing but not as talented as the Filipinos. It's really funny when you ask some KPOP fans on why they love KPOP so much, they will just answer "because I like their songs!"- DUH! As if they can understand. I'm a music lover, especially OPM, but most of my favorite OPM are old, like Wolfgang, Freddie Aguilar, Asin, Razorback, Aegis and so on. Most of my favorites are tho popular to its followers but still unheard by the majority of the population nowadays, many of todays generation don't even know that the these artists exist.

Just a reminder: KPOP is nice, if you can understand the language. But if you're just getting in to fit in and obviously can't understand, trust me, you look really stupid. Be more rational.

  2. WTF are you ranting about??
your rant is useless, this is continuously spreading, what can you do about it? Be selfish and teach people that they should like what you like?? ..
Although some points are right but , at least be open with the people, if you don't like it why give a fuck about them ?
